Dr. Seong R. Cho, radiation oncologist, joined Cancer Care Specialists of Central Illinois, S.C., during August 2004. Dr. Cho primarily sees patients at the Sarah Bush Lincoln Regional Cancer Center in Mattoon. He will occasionally provide radiation oncology services in Decatur and Effingham.

Dr. Cho received his Doctor of Medicine degree from State University of New York at Brooklyn College of Medicine. He completed an internship at Winthrop University Hospital in Mineola, New York. Dr. Cho completed a residency in Radiation Oncology at SUNY Health Science Center in Brooklyn, New York, where he was Chief Resident of Radiation Oncology.

Dr. Cho is board certified in Radiation Oncology. In addition, he holds membership in the American College of Radiology, American Society of Therapeutic Radiology and Oncology, American Medical Association, and the Illinois State Medical Society. Through an agreement between Cancer Care Specialists of Central Illinois, S.C., and Sarah Bush Lincoln Health Center, Dr. Cho is overseeing radiation oncology services at the Sarah Bush Lincoln Regional Cancer Center.
