Dr. Hanna M. Saba, medical oncologist/hematologist, joined Cancer Care Specialists of Central Illinois, S.C., during June 2007. Dr. Saba primarily sees patients at Crossroads Cancer Center in Effingham and also sees patients at clinics in Olney and Centralia.

Dr. Saba received his Doctor of Medicine degree from Damascus University Medical School in Syria. He completed residencies in Internal Medicine at Cook County Hospital in Chicago and at the Ministry of Health, Douma Hospital, in Syria. Dr. Saba went on to complete a fellowship in Hematology/ Oncology at Michigan State University.

Dr. Saba is board certified in Medical Oncology, Hematology and Internal Medicine. In addition, he holds membership in the American Society of Clinical Oncology and American Medical Association. Dr. Saba previously worked at the Ashley County Medical Center in Crossett, Arkansas, where he started a brand new oncology clinic and infusion center, and his service provided both primary and specialty care to patients. He has published two research articles related to breast cancer and anemia. Dr. Saba also has a special interest in breast cancer and colorectal cancer.
