CCSCI has high complexity CLIA-certified laboratories at its main office located within the Cancer Care Center of Decatur and at Crossroads Cancer Center in Effingham.

Staff include Medical Technologists, Medical Laboratory Technicians and Phlebotomists. Phlebotomists are specially trained to draw blood specimens and process laboratory tests. Medical Technologists and Medical Laboratory Technicians are responsible for overseeing and reviewing laboratory testing and evaluating final results.

Laboratory services include CBCs, routine and special blood chemistry tests, manual differentials, urinalysis dipstick tests and microscopic examinations, coagulation tests, cancer markers, and other miscellaneous tests. In addition, the laboratory assists in bone marrow and fine needle aspiration procedures.

CCSCI also coordinates with area hospitals and other laboratory providers to provide comprehensive laboratory services.
