Research Studies & Clinical Trials

Through the Central Illinois Community Clinical Oncology Program, CCSCI physicians and staff actively participate in cancer research in order to help improve both cancer treatment and prevention. These studies, called clinical trials, provide state-of-the-art care and new drugs not yet available to many other cancer centers, in an investigational setting.

Research studies and clinical trials are conducted to prevent, diagnose, treat, and recover from cancer. If you would like more information or are interested in participating in a clinical trial, please tell your physician.

CCSCI is affiliated with the following National Cancer Institute supported research groups. For information about each organization or to find out more about current research studies and results, please click on the organization name:

CCSCI works closely with the Decatur Memorial Hospital Clinical Research Department in Decatur, Illinois, to provide opportunities for patients to participate in research studies and clinical trials. For a current listing of available research trials, please click here.
