Through the Central
Illinois Community Clinical Oncology Program, CCSCI
physicians and staff actively participate in cancer research
in order to help improve both cancer treatment and prevention.
These studies, called clinical trials, provide state-of-the-art
care and new drugs not yet available to many other cancer
centers, in an investigational setting.
Research studies and clinical trials
are conducted to prevent, diagnose, treat, and recover from
cancer. If you would like more information or are interested
in participating in a clinical trial, please tell your physician.

CCSCI works closely with the Decatur Memorial Hospital Clinical
Research Department in Decatur, Illinois, to provide opportunities
for patients to participate in research studies and clinical
